Job Description
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in San Dimas, CA, supporting high school students under a contract for the current school year. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language therapy services to help students improve communication skills essential for academic success and social interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for high school students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational and clinical standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding speech and language strategies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with high school-aged students in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain detailed documentation
