Job Description

This opportunity is for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to work onsite at a K-12 school in the Salem, VA area. The position is a contract role for the current school year, providing direct support to students across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and student evaluations to determine individual speech and language needs
  • Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with school guidelines
  • Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students
  • Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license
  • Professional experience working as an SLP in school settings
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and special education processes
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff

Location: Salem, VA (onsite)
