A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Saint Clair Shores, MI, supporting a K-12 public school during a maternity leave contract. This position serves approximately 40 students across the district, providing critical speech and language therapy services to support academic and communication success.
Key qualifications and desired experience include:
- Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working within school settings with diverse student populations
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disabilities
Location and schedule details:
- Position located in Saint Clair Shores, MI
- Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:10 PM, full-time
- Immediate start with anticipated assignment through March (maternity leave coverage)
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to approximately 40 K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Complete evaluations, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of a wide range of speech and language disorders
