Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
  • Previous experience in school-based settings highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of speech and language disorders in children and adolescents
  • Familiarity with IEP process and educational documentation
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to adapt strategies for both elementary and high school populations
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students individually and in groups
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders impacting student learning
  • Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in adherence to school policies and state regulations
  • Provide consultation and support to educators and parents regarding communication strategies
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training as needed
