Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools through ISBE
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
  • Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students goals
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to a caseload of 39 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students overall development
  • Monitor and document students progress and adjust therapy as needed
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
