Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services in an educational setting for the upcoming school year. This contract position involves working with students across grades K-12, focusing on their communication needs and ensuring they receive the support required for academic success.

Location: Rockford, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language intervention.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to foster effective communication strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by the school.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently within a school schedule.
