Job Description

An experienced speech-language pathologist is sought for a full-time position in an elementary school setting, focusing on students from TK through 5th grade. This role is designed to cover maternity leave, running from August 20 to April 18, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of up to 60 students with mild to moderate disabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC).
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings.
  • Proficiency in teletherapy practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring speech and language support.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to address each student's unique needs.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for support.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student outcomes in compliance with school policies.
