Job Description
This position is for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant supporting a high school caseload in Redwood City, CA. This full-time role is a contract position covering a leave of absence.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as an SLPA in educational or healthcare settings
- Ability to work with high school students across diverse caseloads
- Familiarity with speech-language therapy techniques and goals
- Comfortable supporting speech-language pathologists in clinical and educational environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to deliver teletherapy services is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of students with speech and language disorders
- Implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist
- Monitor student progress, document interventions, and communicate with school staff and families
- Support the delivery of services in person and potentially via teletherapy platforms
- Maintain compliance with school policies and confidentiality regulations
