Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school serving grades K-5 in Redford, MI. This contract runs for the current school year (CSY) with a start date as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. The role involves providing comprehensive SLP services within a school setting, supporting early childhood and elementary students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
  • Provide direct speech therapy services and support communication goals for K-5 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare necessary reports
  • Participate in team meetings and administer indirect intervention or consultation as needed
  • Adhere to district policies, data tracking, and scheduling requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations (K-5)
  • Strong knowledge of school-based speech-language pathology practices and protocols
  • Familiarity with teletherapy services and confident delivering virtual intervention
  • Ability to conduct evaluations, develop treatment goals, and implement effective interventions
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within education teams

Location: Redford, MI Elementary School within a public school district
