Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based
Location: Near Waterboro, ME
This part-time position offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language services to elementary students in a K-12 school setting. The focus is on supporting students through direct therapy and assessments, with an emphasis on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) expertise. The assignment runs from ASAP through the end of the school year and requires onsite presence at one to two campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations
- Deliver direct therapy services tailored to individual student needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings alongside school staff and families
- Manage progress tracking and maintain accurate documentation using the districts special education system (training provided)
- Support students utilizing AAC devices, ensuring effective communication intervention
Qualifications:
- Active Maine Speech Language Pathologist license
- Proven experience working with AAC devices
- Prior school-based experience preferred but not required
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Part-time, onsite
- Grade Levels: Elementary students
- Travel: Mileage reimbursement for travel between assigned campuses
