An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational environment located in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This position entails working full-time at 37.5 hours per week, with openness to part-time applicants as well. The role focuses on addressing the diverse communication needs of students, ensuring that each individual receives the necessary support to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting, healthcare, or pediatric focus
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Port Saint Lucie, FL (K-12 School Environment)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide diagnosis for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate effective communication strategies
  • Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress
  • Supervise and support the work of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress reports
