Available Assignments
Openings may include:
- Connections Program serving students in Grades 5-6
- Structured Special Education Classroom
- Resource Classroom (ELA Focus)
- Resource Special Education Program
- Life Skills / Self-Contained Classroom
- Pathways Program
Specific placement will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and school needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Special Education Teaching License required
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students across varying levels of academic and behavioral needs
