An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work within a middle school setting in Owasso, OK. This position is geared toward providing speech and language support services to students, helping them achieve their communication goals throughout the school year (CSY). This is a contract-to-hire role, offering the potential for long-term employment based on performance and fit.
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Certification as an SLP with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school settings as an SLP
- Strong assessment and intervention skills in pediatric speech and language development
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Effective collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for middle school students
- Design and deliver targeted therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other team members to support student success
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to therapy services
