Desired experience and qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Valid Illinois SLP licensure, or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Experience with school-aged children and familiarity with IEP processes preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse speech and language needs
In this role, youll:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEPs
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to maximize student progress
- Support students in achieving social communication and academic goals
- Maintain thorough records and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation requirements
- Engage with a supportive school community and multidisciplinary team
