Job Description

A school-based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) role is available to support a high school caseload on a leave contract. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with diverse students in an educational setting, providing essential support in speech and language development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech Language Pathologists in delivering direct therapy services to high school students with speech and language impairments
  • Support individualized education program (IEP) goals and related documentation under the supervision of a certified SLP
  • Engage students through teletherapy and in-person sessions, employing evidence-based practices tailored to pediatric populations
  • Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to promote student communication skills and academic success
  • Conduct screenings, maintain accurate records, and contribute to progress monitoring

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Certification or credential as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) with experience in school and healthcare settings
  • Experience supporting pediatric and high school-aged students within school environments
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and techniques
  • Ability to follow directives within a collaborative team framework, supporting both Speech Language Pathologists and students
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Location: Redwood City, CA

This contract position specifically serves a high school population and encompasses a comprehensive speech-language caseload requiring dedication and adaptability. The leave duration allows for impactful, time-limited engagement with students preparing for academic and communicative success.
