Job Description

A specialized Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the full school year (CSY) at a K-12 educational setting in Oakland, CA. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with students of diverse ages and needs, supporting their communication development in a dynamic school environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • State certification as a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-School)
  • Experience working within a K-12 school setting, familiar with educational speech and language goals and interventions

Location:

  • Oakland, California

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations, screenings, and progress monitoring for students
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication skills and educational achievement
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to goal setting and student support planning
