Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing specialized speech and language services onsite in a dynamic school environment near Oak Park, IL. This contract opportunity allows you to work with a diverse caseload of 3rd-12th grade students, collaborating with educational teams to help each student reach their full communicative potential.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Hold a valid SLP license for the state of Illinois
  • Possess PEL (Professional Educator License) Certification
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred
  • Proven experience working in pediatric, healthcare, or school settings (K-12)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage diverse student populations
  • Organized, flexible, and able to manage caseloads efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students in grades 3 through 12, both individually and in small groups
  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments and write detailed, tailored reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to design and adjust individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress and relevant communications
  • Participate actively in team meetings and professional development sessions
