Job Description
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the upcoming school calendar year, serving children within the K-12 system in North Hollywood, CA. This contract position is scheduled to begin in March 2026 and conclude on June 4, 2026, with 30-35 work hours per week (to be determined).
The role focuses on providing therapeutic speech and language services tailored to the needs of pediatric clients in a school setting. The caseload typically averages around 45 students, ensuring a dynamic and impactful clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments for K-12 students
- Deliver individualized therapy services, utilizing both in-person and teletherapy methods
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Document and report student performance and progress in compliance with school and state regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school and healthcare settings
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in teletherapy delivery and digital documentation platforms
- Strong knowledge of speech-language development and disorders in children
- Effective communication and organizational skills for managing a caseload of approximately 45 students
