Job Description

This contract position offers a unique opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential leave coverage in an elementary school setting located in Newark, NJ. The role is ideal for certified SLPs passionate about supporting young learners with speech and language development, serving a caseload of approximately 15 students.

Key Qualifications and Credentials:

  • Valid New Jersey SLP Licensure required
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working in schools, particularly with pediatric populations
  • Comfort and skill in delivering teletherapy services advantageous
  • Candidates at the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) level considered

Position Details:

  • Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY)
  • Age group: Elementary students
  • Caseload: 15 students
  • Days and hours per week: To be discussed based on candidate availability and school schedule

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting speech and language assessments and evaluations
  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing direct therapy to students in-person and via teletherapy as needed
  • Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports
