Job Description

Providing speech-language services to students from Pre-K through 8th grade, this contract position in New Orleans, LA, offers a dynamic opportunity to work within a K-12 school setting. The role is focused on delivering onsite support to a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, emphasizing effective communication and developmental progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver therapeutic services tailored to student needs across PreK-8th grade levels
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies
  • Participate in meetings and professional development activities as required

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - CCC preferred
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology settings
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 50-60 students effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Open to Certified Fellows (CF) interested in gaining extensive school-based experience

Location:

  • New Orleans, Louisiana (onsite position only)

Duration:

  • Contract role with start date ASAP through 5/21/2026
  • Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
