Job Description

Join an educational setting dedicated to supporting diverse learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position begins ASAP and runs through June 9, 2026, offering 35 hours per week onsite at two elementary schools within the area. Candidates will work primarily with children across a range of disabilities served in inclusive classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to students individual needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate therapy goals within academic activities
  • Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and develop effective intervention plans

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current active SLP license in Connecticut
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; certified fellows (CF) considered
  • School-based experience working with elementary-age students
  • Familiarity with inclusive education and a range of disability categories
  • Completion of district fingerprints and background check
  • No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) eligible for this role
  • Ability to attend a Zoom interview for the hiring process

Work Schedule and Location:

  • 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Split schedule between two elementary school sites (to be determined)
  • Onsite work environment within the New Britain, CT area

This opening is ideal for SLP professionals passionate about contributing to student success in inclusive school settings. Two positions are available for dedicated clinicians prepared to start immediately for the full semester.
