Job Description
Provide specialized speech-language services in an elementary and middle school setting as a full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP). This position supports two sites on an itinerant basis, offering valuable therapy and assessment for students ranging from kindergarten through 7th grade, including some younger pupils.
Location: Naperville, IL (Itinerant work between two school sites)
Assignment Type: Contract, School Year (CSY)
Schedule: 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 3:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 30, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language pathology services to approximately 40 students
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams
- Travel between two school sites serving K6th grade and 7th grade through age 2 students in an itinerant role
Required Qualifications:
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Completion of fingerprinting and other background check requirements prior to start
- Expertise in school-based speech-language pathology services, including IEP development and caseload management
