Job Description

A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting in Mount Prospect, IL. This opportunity offers a contract duration for the current school year (CSY) with part-time hours totaling 22.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will provide speech and language support to students across all grade levels, helping to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders.

Qualifications:

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred
  • Experience working within the school system preferred

Location:

  • Mount Prospect, Illinois
  • K-12 public school environment

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring speech-language services
  • Provide direct therapy sessions aimed at improving communication skills
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations
