Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Montgomery, AL. This contract position is ideal for individuals with expertise in speech-language pathology, dedicated to fostering communication skills and addressing the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Knowledge of special education policies and procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments to students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with IEPs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students communication needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
