A K-12 school in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services for students across the academic year. This contract position offers an opportunity to support pediatric speech and language development within an educational setting, enhancing communication skills and promoting academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services using evidence-based practices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and student progress
Qualifications / Desired Skills:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience providing speech-language services in pediatric and school settings
- Strong knowledge of speech-language development and disorders in children
- Ability to work effectively within an educational team environment
- Familiarity with school-based regulations and compliance standards
