Job Description

A K-12 Speech-Language Pathology professional is needed for a contract assignment from ASAP to May 22, 2026, in the Metairie, LA area. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced SLP with a passion for supporting elementary-aged students, particularly on the west bank, within a school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students, primarily at the elementary level.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and other school personnel to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
  • Manage caseload effectively while ensuring quality care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working within educational settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location & Schedule:

  • On-site work primarily within Metairie, LA area schools.
  • 35 hours weekly, generally 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Caseload and specific school assignments to be determined.
