Job Description

A dynamic opportunity awaits for a skilled professional specializing in speech-language pathology within an educational setting. This contract position is based in Mesa, AZ, and focuses on providing essential support to K-12 students during a leave of absence. The role is designed for a dedicated individual ready to make a meaningful impact on the lives of approximately 60-65 students, spanning grades K-8.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • IVP Fingerprint clearance card.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred.

Location:

  • Mesa, Arizona (Onsite in a K-12 School)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators.
  • Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language services.
  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support students communication goals.
  • Participate in staff meetings and engage with parents regarding student progress and needs.
