A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve as a long-term substitute in a school setting. This role offers the chance to provide direct speech and language services to young students in PreK through 1st grade, focusing on those using AAC devices.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Medway, MA
- Contract duration: February 23 to April 17
- Work hours: 8:35 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Travel assignment within the educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy to PreK-1st grade students
- Utilize expertise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to support students communication needs
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to tailor interventions for individual student goals
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP, CCC-SLP)
- Experience in pediatric speech-language therapy, ideally within school settings
- Knowledge and proficiency in working with AAC devices
- Ability to manage a professional caseload and effective communication skills
