Job Description
A long-term substitute position is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics to provide direct services to PreK through 1st grade students utilizing AAC devices. This contract opportunity runs from February 23 to April 17, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:35 am to 3:00 pm. The role is based in Medway, MA, in a school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in school settings
- Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or eligibility thereof
- Ability to provide direct therapy services to young students (PreK - 1st grade)
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized speech and language therapy based on student needs
- Collaborating with educators and parents to support student communication goals
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining thorough documentation
- Utilizing AAC devices to enhance communication for students requiring alternative methods
