Step into a dynamic preschool setting and make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a Speech Language Pathologist. This contract opportunityworking onsite for 34 hours per week from September through Octoberoffers the chance to provide essential services while covering an FMLA leave. You'll collaborate closely with students, educators, and families to foster growth in communication and language skills, creating a supportive atmosphere for children in their early years of learning.
Desired Skills and Credentials:
- Hold an active Illinois Speech Language Pathologist License or be eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- PEL (Professional Educator License) and ASHA Certification required (will consider Clinical Fellows)
- Demonstrated expertise in managing pediatric caseloads, especially working with preschool-aged children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with both staff and families
- Comfortable working onsite within a school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for preschool students
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy tailored to each childs developmental needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and families to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Provide insights and recommendations during multidisciplinary team meetings
