Job Description
This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting in Los Lunas, NM. The role is full-time, on-site, and contract-based, running from ASAP through May 2026. You will support students across elementary (PreK through 3rd grade and PreK through 6th grade) and middle school (7th-8th grade), contributing to their communication development and educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress while adjusting therapy strategies as necessary.
- Provide consultation and guidance to classroom staff regarding communication strategies and accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in elementary and middle school grades.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.
