Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a Speech Language Pathologist, delivering impactful services within an engaging elementary school environment. This opportunity is tailored for professionals who thrive working with pediatric populations, supporting students in grades Pre-K through 5th. You'll be onsite for 20 hours each week across three days, focusing on a manageable caseload of approximately 17-20 students.
Bring your expertise in both clinical and school-based SLP practice, utilizing your skills to promote student success in speech and language development.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current MN SLP License (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or healthcare setting, with a focus on speech therapy for children
- Strong collaborative skills with educational teams, families, and students
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language assessments and therapy to elementary-aged students
- Develop and document Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student communication skills
- Monitor and record student progress, adjusting therapy as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive educational environment
