Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide therapeutic services in a K-12 school setting. This contract position is based in Lewistown, PA, and runs for the entire school year (NSY), offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' communication development.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP license with CCC certification
  • Experience working in school-based settings, ideally with K-12 students
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders affecting school-aged children
  • Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, and individualized intervention
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills in compliance with educational standards

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting communication goals
  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to student needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records following school and regulatory policies
