Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting in Leavenworth, KS, for the contract school year. This opportunity involves working with a collaborative speech team of three SLP professionals, managing a caseload of approximately 60 students with diverse ages and significant speech and language needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing speech-language evaluations, diagnosis, and therapy for students with a range of communication disorders
  • Collaborating closely with two other SLP staff members to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Tracking student progress and maintaining detailed documentation and reporting
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to a supportive and dynamic clinical environment

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP license (required)
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working in school settings with K-12 students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff
  • Ability to manage caseloads involving students with varying and significant speech and language needs

Location: Leavenworth, Kansas (onsite requirement)
Contract Length: Current school year with an anticipated end date in May 2026
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
