Job Description

An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized support in a dynamic educational environment. This part-time position focuses on serving K-12 students with severe and complex communication needs, utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Michigan SLP license
  • Demonstrated experience with AAC systems and various communication devices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in school settings

Location:
Lansing, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to students across two school sites
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to enhance communication outcomes
  • Assess student progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
  • Provide training and resources to staff and families regarding AAC devices and their use
