Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a K-12 educational setting located in Lansing, MI. This contract position runs for the entire school year, allowing for meaningful engagement with students and staff alike.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Proficiency in using technology for therapy and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and screenings to evaluate students speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP compliance.
  • Provide direct therapy services and monitor students progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
