Embark on a rewarding opportunity as an onsite Speech Language Pathologist, where your expertise will support a diverse Pre-K to 8th grade student population. In this contract position, you'll enjoy a dynamic environment near Lancaster, CA, working 37.5 hours per week alongside a collaborative educational team dedicated to student progress and communication success.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Valid CA Speech-Language Pathology License or CA CTC required
- Clinical Certificate of Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience with IEPs, evaluations, direct and indirect therapeutic services
- Background in pediatric and school-based settings highly valued
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 55 students with varying speech and language needs
- Familiarity with teletherapy and healthcare SLP practices is a plus
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver engaging and effective direct therapy sessions, adapting methods to individual learning styles
- Provide indirect services through consultation and support for teachers and families
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Collaborate regularly with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for each student
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay current on best practices
