Step into an impactful role supporting student success within Volusia Countys school system. Opportunities are open for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) ready to make a difference in educational settings, with contract positions available for the upcoming school year. Multiple part-time positions are available at Taylor Middle High in Pierson and Hinson Middle in Daytona, offering a structured schedule and a dynamic environment to help students thrive.
In this role, youll:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in a school-based setting
- Evaluate and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to support educational goals
- Document therapy progress, maintain accurate records, and meet compliance requirements
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to foster positive educational outcomes
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellows (CFs), if applicable, with provided supervision
- Maintain flexibility within assigned classrooms and school locations
Qualifications sought:
- Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred
- Experience with pediatric and school-aged populations strongly valued
- New graduates and Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply; supervision provided
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Candidates must be able to work onsiteno virtual or SLPA applicants at this time
The assignments begin August 4, 2026, and run through May 28, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
