School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Jobs in LaPorte, IN

We are seeking two qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) to join a supportive school district in LaPorte, Indiana for the 20262027 school year. These full-time positions offer the opportunity to work with preschool and elementary-aged students in a collaborative educational setting while making a meaningful impact on student communication and academic success.

Position Overview Opening #1 Early Childhood Center

  • Assigned to one early childhood center
  • Caseload is expected to grow throughout the school year based on student placements
  • Estimated caseload of approximately 6075 students
  • Supported by a veteran SLPA and a speech paraprofessional in a team-based service delivery model

Opening #2 Preschool and Elementary Assignment

  • Split assignment between a preschool and elementary school
  • Similar caseload size of approximately 6075 students
  • Collaborative special education and related services team

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and treatment plans
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Attend IEP meetings, team meetings, and district-required trainings
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
  • Provide required supervision for an SLPA in accordance with Indiana regulations

Qualifications Required

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Indiana Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Indiana Department of Education (DOE) Certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Ability and willingness to supervise an SLPA
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Previous school-based experience
  • Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged students
  • Familiarity with IEP development and special education compliance
