A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 public school setting in Kerman, CA. This role involves a contract through the current school year with a focus on providing comprehensive speech and language services to students across multiple grade levels.
Key qualifications and experience required include:
- Minimum of 2 years of California school-based SLP experience.
- At least 1 year of proficiency with SEIS (Special Education Information System).
- Experience supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and working alongside facilitators is preferred.
- Capacity to manage high caseloads and multiple referrals efficiently.
- Candidates who have completed their Clinical Fellowship (CF) are encouraged to apply.
- Position requires onsite work only.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload comprising approximately 60-65 students, with 25-30 students receiving speech-only services.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy and collaborate with educational teams to develop individualized plans.
- Oversee and support the work of any assigned SLPAs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapy sessions and student progress.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure cohesive service delivery.
This position is based onsite at Alpha Elementary with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Candidates applying should be prepared for the demands of a high caseload within a dynamic educational environment.
