Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active Georgia state SLP license or ability to obtain before start date
- Prior experience working in school settings is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and fellow therapists
- Commitment to evidence-based therapy practices and progress documentation
Role responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students according to IEP goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators and special education staff
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the teams understanding of each students progress
- Educate and support families and caregivers, providing strategies for continued progress at home
