Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school-based team in Joliet, Illinois. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about helping students develop the communication skills needed to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide services to a diverse caseload of students in both general education and special education settings, collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Position Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and IEP goals
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students
Address articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and pragmatic language skills
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and related service providers
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
Recommend classroom strategies and accommodations to support communication development

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) if applicable
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
