A temporary position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide coverage for a leave of absence at an elementary school in Joliet, IL. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced SLP with a background in pediatrics and school-based settings.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of students in grades K-6, delivering speech and language therapy services, conducting assessments, and collaborating with teachers and parents to support student progress. The role requires a flexible approach to meet the individual needs of children and contribute positively to their academic development.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working in pediatric and school environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively
The position is set to begin in January with the possibility of shadowing in December to ensure a smooth transition. The anticipated end date for this assignment is March 2nd. This is a contract role, providing valuable experience within an elementary educational setting.
