Job Description

A full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school setting in Joliet, IL. This contract position is ideal for professionals with a valid SLP-CCC license seeking to provide direct in-person services to students in a dynamic educational environment. Multiple leave coverage assignments are open, each with unique age groups and settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students ranging from early childhood through middle school, depending on the assignment.
  • Manage caseloads with a maximum of 60 students, including those in self-contained life-skills and inclusion programs.
  • Conduct play-based assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams as part of the early childhood center assignment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance according to school policies and state regulations.

Available Positions and Dates: 1) Immediate start through January 12, 2026: Elementary K-5 building servicing students including self-contained life-skills classrooms. 2) November 20, 2025 to March 6, 2026: Elementary and Middle School (K-8) buildings, located together with no travel required. 3) January 5 to April 13, 2026: Early Childhood Center providing direct therapy and assessments for ages 3-5 in various program models.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required.
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary and early childhood populations preferred.
  • Strong skills in individualized student evaluation and intervention planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators and specialists.
