Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits in Joliet, IL, for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist. This position focuses on supporting an elementary school environment with a diverse student caseload, fostering communication skills essential for academic success.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools through ISBE
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in school settings

Location: Joliet, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for approximately 40-50 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
  • Conduct therapy sessions and monitor student progress in accordance with IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, requiring availability from 8 AM to 3 PM, with a 50-minute lunch break, totaling 34 hours per week.
