Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain before the start date)
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to design individualized treatment plans and maintain thorough documentation
- Team-oriented mindset and cultural competence
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet student needs
- Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services in group and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress discussions
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, sessions, and student progress
- Support students of varying backgrounds and learning styles with compassion and adaptability
