Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide comprehensive speech therapy services for a middle school setting in Irvine, CA. This leave contract runs from August 5th through October 15th and requires on-site work in a dynamic educational environment serving students in grades 6-8. The role involves delivering both direct and indirect speech services, conducting evaluations, and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) within a caseload averaging 55 students with mild to moderate disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech therapy and indirect consultation to students with diverse communication needs
  • Complete evaluations and assessments to identify speech and language impairments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student communication goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent CA SLP License or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school-based settings
  • Skilled in teletherapy and in-person service delivery
  • Familiarity with middle school educational programs and age-appropriate intervention strategies
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and effectively within a collaborative team environment

Location: Irvine, CA (middle school setting)
