Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a school setting. This contract role spans the entire school year and offers a chance to apply specialized skills in speech and language therapy within an educational environment located in Huntsville, AL.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology across K-12 grade levels
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaboration with educators
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children
  • Exceptional communication skills necessary for working with students, families, and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services tailored to individual student needs
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans
  • Provide progress reports and documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support educational goals
  • Adapt approaches to meet diverse student populations and collaborate effectively with teachers and administrators
