Job Description

This opportunity calls for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Sign Language Interpreter to support a K-12 educational setting in Howell, MI. This position is a contracted role for the current school year (CSY), providing essential communication services to students across grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide interpreting services in American Sign Language to facilitate effective communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student development and classroom inclusion.
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language and experience as a certified Sign Language Interpreter.
  • Previous experience working within K-12 educational environments preferred.
