Job Description
Providing speech-language pathology services for an elementary K-12 school setting, this contract position is based in Hickory, NC and extends through the upcoming school year. The role requires delivering specialized support to approximately 35 students with diverse communication needs, ensuring development and progress within a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans
- Implementing therapy sessions to address a variety of speech and language disorders
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to support student communication goals
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
Qualifications for this position include:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license
- Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school settings, preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff
